Samsung ML-5200A

The ML-5200A features a 60 MHz processor and 4 MB of RAM, which is upgradable up to 68 MB. The device offers 600 dpi resolution, and can also be connected to the USB port of a Windows 98 machine. The ML-5200A supports both PCL5e and PCL6 emulation. The printer interface allows extensive control over print settings. You can choose between 600 dpi and 300 dpi print resolution, vector or raster graphics mode, half toning, fine, coarse or line art. There are also options for enhancing text or graphics in the print output. As far as performance is concerned, the Samsung ML-5200A proved to be the winner in the laser category, with the highest overall score of 67 points. It was the fastest tested in terms of text print speed (43 seconds for the five-page document) and the best in terms of text print quality. It was average though, in terms of graphics speed and quality, and is not very suitable for heavy graphics printing.
